How to visit Raj Kapoor & Dilip Kumar’s houses in Pakistan

Google Maps won’t let me add the exact location of Bollywood superstar Dilip Kumar’s house in Peshawar, Pakistan, so in this post, I’ll show you exactly how to reach it and Raj Kapoor’s house.

Raj Kapoor & Dilip Kumar are both legendary Bollywood actors and film producers. Both were born in the 1920s in Peshawar, Undivided India, and their houses are a few minutes walk from each other.

Their ancestral houses are in the famous Qissa Khwani Bazaar (Story-tellers market).

While you can visit the outside of the houses, you cannot enter as the doors are locked, and they’re in such poor condition that it would be dangerous to enter.

According to news reports, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is restoring both houses to their original glory.

See my trip to Peshawar to find the Kapoor & Kumar Havelis.

Here’s a quick walk-by of Raj Kumar’s haveli in Peshawar, Pakistan.

Raj Kapoor’s haveli is easy to find; the location is available on Google Maps.

Location of Dilip Kumar’s house

I had to ask the help of a few locals to find Dilip Kumar’s house. But I got there in the end with their help.

Dilip Kumar’s house is located in a small alleyway off a busy market that sells women’s clothing.

The exact GPS coordinates of the house are 34.007006147926035, 71.57242514073121. Its Plus code is 2H4C+RX3 Peshawar, Pakistan.

You can look up the GPS location or Plus code on Google Maps and use that to find Dilip Kumar’s house.

When you get to the general area, ask locals, and they’ll happily assist you.
